Proofs

Proof of Address

The photo/document must clearly show the applicant's name and address (printed not handwritten) and the type of document it is -

  • if using a utility bill as evidence, then the uploaded copy must show its issue date which must be within the last 12 months
  • if using a bank statement as evidence, then the uploaded copy must show its issue date which must be within the last 12 months
  • if using a council tax bill, then it must clearly indicate it is for the current year or dated within the last 12 months

Proof of Age

The photo/document must clearly show the applicant's name and the type of document it is -

  • if using a birth certificate as evidence, then your name must not have changed. If changed by marriage, then a photo/scan of your marriage certificate will also be required. If changed by deed poll, then a photo/scan of your deed poll document will be required
  • if using a driving licence as evidence it must be a valid UK photocard licence
  • if using your passport, it must be a copy of the personal details page

Proof of residency

  • if you are from an EU member state and are a permanent resident of Hull, you also need to provide proof of nationality and permanent residency in Hull
  • if you are a non-EU resident, you need to provide a letter from the Home Office that proves you have been granted -
    • permanent UK residency
    • indefinite leave to remain
    • indefinite leave to enter
    • biometric residents’ permit

Photo

If you are completing your application using the My Bus Pass portal you can upload and edit a photo. If you are attending a library the photo will be taken there.
