In response to the Children and Social Work Act 2017 and Working Together 2018 we are currently transitioning towards new multi-agency safeguarding children arrangements.
When operational, by 1 September, the Hull Safeguarding Children's Partnership (HSCP) will be a multi-agency forum for ensuring that different services co-operate to protect children and young people in Hull. HSCP will be led by the three statutory partners -
- local Authority-Hull City Council
- Hull Clinical Commissioning Group
- Humberside Police
The Partnership will seek assurance and evidence that the children of Hull are protected from all forms of abuse and neglect in order to confirm that everybody working with children works effectively together.
The Partnership identifies other partners as being crucial to the successful implementation of these arrangements, including -
- schools
- health providers
- Voluntary and Community Sector
The Hull Safeguarding Children's Partnership (HSCP) is the statutory body that brings together all the key partners and organisations who work together to promote children’s welfare and help protect them from abuse.
This website provides -
- information
- advice
- guidance
to those working with children and young people including -
- the public
- children
- parents and carers
- professionals
Also, the same legislation requires new arrangements for the Child Death Review process, led by statutory partners (Local Authority and Integrated Care Board (formerly Clinical Commissioning Group)).
Full details of our arrangements are being updated and will be available here shortly.
