Digital phone switchover

There is a national campaign to raise awareness about the digital switchover, which is targeted at Telecare users. Lifeline is a telecare device.

You may see adverts on the TV and social media about how this may affect your Lifeline equipment.

As a Lifeline user, please do not panic, more information will be available in the coming weeks about this and we will update you, there is no need for you to contact us at this stage.

Scam risks

Some criminals are using the switchover to scam people by tricking them into providing passwords or bank details.

Telecom companies and Hull City Council will never ask for this personal information. If you think you have been a victim of a scam or fraud relating to telecare, report this as a safeguarding concern and contact your bank.
