Response times for Business Rates

High call volumes

We are currently experiencing high volumes of work, as well as preparing for the government changes due to come into effect from the 1 April 2026. We will respond to/action your enquiries as early as we can and therefore ask that you allow for this before sending follow up emails. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause; however, we are experiencing extensive delays.

If your enquiry is urgent and you believe you will suffer financial hardship due to the delay, have been summoned to appear at Court for non-payment of your business rates, or received a visit from one of our enforcement officers please contact us on 01482 300301.

Due to major changes to Business Rates regulations set by the government, the Business Rates section is currently building new processes. We are awaiting final details from the government before the Service Standards can be put in place. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
