Parking Permits

Daily visitor permits (formally scratchcards)

Daily visitor permits provide exemption from time limitations for parking within controlled zones. If you are using paper daily visitor permits, the correct date must be scratched off and displayed in the windscreen of the vehicle.

Residents can purchase daily visitor permits for their visitors without being a permit holder. Proof of residency must be provided, as per resident's permit. Daily visitor permits are not allowed within city centre zones.

Daily visitor permits are priced at 75p each. A maximum of 10 cards total per customer, including digital and paper daily visitor permits, can be purchased each month.

You can apply for digital daily visitor permits by creating an account on MiPermit. You will need to complete the online application first. Once your application is approved, you will be able to purchase the daily visitor permits.
