Garden Village
Following public consultation in 2024 formal Notification is now taking placing for the adoption of the following Article 4 Directions.
- Hard Standings - Development consisting of -
- The provision within the curtilage at the front or side of a dwelling house of a hard surface for any purpose incidental to the enjoyment to the dwelling house as such
- The replacement in whole or part of such a surface
- Cross Overs - The formation, laying out and construction of means of access to a highway which is not a trunk road or classified road, where that access is required in connection with development permitted by any Class in this Schedule (other than Class A of this Part)
Further details of the notification period and exempt properties from the Article 4 Direction.
Confirmed dates for the Notification are -
- any objections to the confirmation of the Direction must be received by the 30 June 2025
- subject to review the Direction will come in force, subject to confirmation by the Council on the 30 July 2025
Newland Park
Following public consultation in 2024 formal Notification is now taking placing for the adoption of the following Article 4 Direction.
- Hard Standings
- Development consisting of “The provision within the curtilage of a dwelling house of a hard surface for any purpose incidental to the enjoyment of the dwelling house as such (Class F of Part 1 of Schedule 2 to the Order) where between the principal elevation of a dwelling house and a highway.”

Confirmed dates for the Notification are -
- any objections to the confirmation of the Direction must be received by the 31 July 2025
- subject to review the Direction will come into force, subject to confirmation by the Council on the 8 September 2025
