Managing rent arrears
If you cannot pay your rent, do not ignore the problem, as if you do not pay your rent, your landlord can evict you. This could mean that you lose your home. You will need to talk to your landlord as soon as you possibly can.
If you already get help with paying your rent, but you are still struggling to pay a shortfall, you can apply for housing payment.
If you are a Hull City Council tenant and are struggling financially or are unable to pay your rent, you should contact your Tenancy Officer immediately do not ignore the problem. We are here to help and support you.
