Wilmington Bridge

Wilmington bridge

Recently conducted inspections have shown extensive decay of the timber fenders on Wilmington Bridge.

This decay has been exacerbated by impact damage caused by errant vessels colliding with the structure.

To maintain safety, and ensure the bridge is protected from river traffic, replacement of the fender structure is required.

Details of the confirmed programme, including exact timeframes, will be announced on this page, and on Hull CC News.

In the meantime, whilst the programme is being developed, the bridge remains open to pedestrians and cyclists.
