Scott Street
Scott Street Bridge is a Grade II-listed bridge which closed to traffic in 1994, due to its extremely poor structural and mechanical condition. The structure was then dismantled in 2020 after being deemed as a risk to river traffic.
As part of the Historic England’s conditions to remove the bridge, and planning permission requirements, we must install new permanent stainless steel parapet railings with etched interpretation panels, and a display frame to house a replica of the Banksy “Draw the raised bridge” artwork.
The design for this scheme is ongoing, with work on site to follow.
Details of the confirmed programme, including exact timeframes, will be announced on this page, and on Hull CC News.
Additionally, plans are in development to display the original Banksy artwork in Trinity Market. In the meantime, the artwork remains in safe and secure storage.
