Millennium Footbridge
Following a principal inspection between the end of 2023 and beginning of 2024, it was found that the bearings and fixed span on Millenium Footbridge are corroded and need to be replaced.
To maintain safety, and ensure the bridge remains operational, we are looking to replace the bearings and repaint the localised areas of corrosion within the next five years.
Details of the confirmed programme, including exact timeframes, will be announced on this page, and on Hull CC News.
In the meantime, whilst the programme is being developed, the bridge retains sufficient loading capacity to operate safely and is currently open to pedestrians and cyclists.
